From the beginning of his career, Raye
realized that he is only as successful as his clients are. Over the
years, he has developed a method that focuses on teaching people how
to communicate better with their horses. He has accomplished this by
applying his Gentle Horsemanship techniques to the person as well as
the horse. By using positive feedback and giving information in a
friendly, accessible manner, Raye encourages his clients to learn
from him and to be persistent in solving their problems. Teaching
everything from starting young horses to improving horse behavior,
including everyday problems, Raye doesn’t just show people what he
can do with their horses; he shows them what they are capable of
doing when they have the right tools for the job.
Raye’s clinics are designed for riders and horses of all levels and
disciplines. Because he works to develop the very foundation by
breaking down each issue into easily attainable steps, his methods
apply to the seasoned dressage performer, the team roper and even
the beginner who has never been on a horse. Building respect and
